SUMMARY:Meditation and Chi Gong
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday mornings\, we have two offerings in our Meditation Room. \nFirst\, there is Chi Gong from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. This practice is Chanting to clear organs and/or Chanting to clear chakras as originally taught by Dr. Steven Aung. Facilitated by Victoria Oginski. \nYou are also welcome to join us from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. for silent meditation. \nFor the past nine years\, the group has been led by Victoria Oginski\, who has been a dedicated meditator for over 45 years. She is a Buddhist and has studied with many extraordinary Buddhist masters over the years in Canada\, Nepal\, India\, and Tibet. Although informed by Buddhist principles\, the facilitation is more universal in approach and everyone is welcome. \nThere is no formal fee\, but please consider dana (donation) to VanU or the Refugee Committee.

DESCRIPTION:Rev. Shawn Gauthier and Laureen Stokes\nAmid the glories of spring in Vancouver\, we gather for our traditional Flower Communion ritual to celebrate our community. From hand to hand\, we will pass flowers that symbolize the unique qualities each of us bring to make up the rich diversity of our congregation. Please plan to bring a fresh flower or two to share in this ritual. If you’re participating in the service online\, consider having a flower or other some bit of nature that you can use in the ritual. \nDownload the Order of Service\nWeekly services\n\nWe gather every Sunday morning at 11am in our Sanctuary at 49th and Oak and online at vanu.ca/live. Worship creates connections within\, among\, and beyond us\, calling us to our better selves\, calling us to live with wisdom and compassion. \n\nAfter service\, we gather in Hewett Centre for Coffee and Social Hour. Families with children and newcomers are always welcome!

DESCRIPTION:Our Whole Lives (OWL) sexuality education for Grades 7-9\n(birthdays in 2011\, 2012\, 2013)\nThis series runs for 25 Sundays\, October 5 to May 31 (usually 11am – 12:30pm)\, excluding holiday weekends. DESCRIPTION:Led by the Healthy Relations Team\nWe live in both beautiful and bewildering times\, and many of us feel the need to come together to try to make sense of it all. \nAfter this Sunday’s service\, there will be a BBQ outside\, so please join us after that at 12:45pm in the Fireside Room\, when the Healthy Relations Team will facilitate a listening circle.
