SUMMARY:Circle Dance: Celebrating JUNE
DESCRIPTION:Come Join us for Circle Dance. All dances taught. New dancers welcome! \nWe’ll dance dances that celebrate the joy\, sun and Summer energy of June as well as dances that were choreographed by June Watts\, one of the most beloved (Sacred) Circle Dance facilitators who danced to the other side in 2022. \nJune started facilitating Circle Dance in the early 80s after her Findhorn training. She shared danceshops and teacher trainings throughout the world\, including Western Canada for over 30 years. Her lighter\, spritely\, spunky and spirited side danced harmoniously with her deep\, earth–grounding\, reverent side. SUMMARY:Volunteer Orientation for Summer Children's Group
DESCRIPTION:Vancouver Unitarians is largely lay-led over the summer while ministry staff have vacation and study time in preparation for the new program year.  It is important for children of all ages to feel included and cared for no matter what time of year they attend. \nThis orientation is to support those able to volunteer to be available for children on 2 or more Sundays between July 6th and August 31st. Orientation is offered on two dates: Thursday\, June 26th at 5:30 pm\, and Sunday\, June 29th at 12:45 pm. \nSign-up at vanu.ca/summer-orientation to be on the roster and attend an orientation. Please contact Kiersten with questions or for more information. \nIf you are new to volunteering with children or youth\, or have not worked in this capacity with Kiersten\, please fill out the intake form at vanu.ca/RE-volunteer-apply \n*All volunteers who work with children or youth require a police record check for the vulnerable sector current within three years.* There is no cost for volunteers.
