DESCRIPTION:Ivan is returning to VanU!\nAfter 2 previous fashion shows in 2022 and 2023 that were met with rave reviews\, the Vancouver Unitarian Refugee Committee has invited fashion historian Ivan Sayers back to present a selection of garments inspired by the Middle East and Africa. It is sure to be both informative and entertaining. \nWe are also delighted to have local fashion designer Somaya Ahmadi present one of her fabulous creations. \nRefreshments will be available at intermission. \nThere will also be a sale of much-loved accessories before\, at intermission and after the show in Hewett Hall. Prices will be very reasonable. So\, do check out the merchandise to find a little gift for yourself or a loved one. \nAll proceeds from this event will go towards supporting refugees that Vancouver Unitarians bring to the Lower Mainland through the Canadian Refugee Sponsorship Program. \nBring a friend (or two) for an enjoyable afternoon! \nClick here to donate to the Vancouver Unitarian Refugee Fund\n(Sheilah Thompson Refugee Fund)\nvanu.ca/refugee-give\nContributions of $20 or more will be sent a receipt for tax purposes in early 2026. \n
