DESCRIPTION:What a great auction\, thanks everyone!\nItem winners\n\nClick here to see all the item winners\nAll winners will receive an email with a list of what they won and at what price\n\nPayment\nIf you won tonight\, please click here to make a payment. \n\nyou can pay from your phone\nyou can also pay in person at VanU after the service on Nov 3 and Nov 11\n\nTime & Talent Auction\nOn Saturday\, November 2nd\, Vancouver Unitarians will host a much-loved and anticipated evening fundraising event: a live auction and social evening in Hewett Centre.  \nA silent auction will also begin on Sunday\, October 27 (before and after the service) and continue on the night of Saturday\, November 2. \nNot only will this raise much-needed deficit-busting funds for VanU\, but it will also present an exciting and creative opportunity to make new connections within the congregation. We welcome your participation in both the silent auction and the live auction. \nRegistration – click here\nYou must have a paddle number to bid in the silent and/or live auction\, and everyone is strongly encouraged to pre-register to avoid line-ups. You will receive a registration confirmation by email with your paddle number. We are asking for a modest donation of $5.00 to help cover processing costs. \nAuction Catalogue\nThere are almost 90 donations from the VanU congregation\, and each are described in the catalogue. Those with a green background will be in the live auction. Those with a light blue background will be in the silent auction. You need to be registered before you can bid on any items. \nLive Auction and continuation of Silent Auction\nDate: Saturday\, November 2nd\n\n5:30  – Registration\, live entertainment begins – JES Trio\, silent auction continues in the Fireside Room.\n6:00  – Social hour with music\, your finger food potluck contributions\, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase. The silent auction continues.\n7:00  – The live auction begins\, no further registrations.\n7:45 –  Intermission – last chance to bid in the silent auction.\n8:00 –  Live auction continues.\n\nPlease note\n\nChildcare will be available\nRemember to bring finger food – this is a finger food potluck\n\nHow the auction works\nYou must register to get a paddle number before you can bid in either the silent auction or the live auction. You cannot register after the live auction starts at 7 pm. The winning bidders will be announced during the live auction on Nov 2 and will be asked to make payment at that time. \nBidding paddles will be given out beginning at 5:30 on the live auction day. Bring your registration email when you come on Nov 2\, and you will be given a paddle to use in the live auction. A live auctioneer will conduct the auction. \nPayment: When you finish bidding for the evening\, volunteers will be available in the Lindsey-Priestley Room for payment. You can pay by cheque\, credit card\, or e-transfer. You will also be able to pay for your winning bids from your phone. \nAll sales are final. DESCRIPTION:Ivan is returning to VanU!\nAfter 2 previous fashion shows in 2022 and 2023 that were met with rave reviews\, the Vancouver Unitarian Refugee Committee has invited fashion historian Ivan Sayers back to present a selection of garments inspired by the Middle East and Africa. It is sure to be both informative and entertaining. \nWe are also delighted to have local fashion designer Somaya Ahmadi present one of her fabulous creations. \nRefreshments will be available at intermission. \nThere will also be a sale of much-loved accessories before\, at intermission and after the show in Hewett Hall. Prices will be very reasonable.
