SUMMARY:Exploration Sunday: Awakening wonder
DESCRIPTION:Exploration Sundays happen the first Sunday of each month and are meant to be an animating time for the whole congregation. The morning service launches the month’s worship and small-group theme with different explorations of that theme in programming following a light lunch. The intent is to engage everyone in the community-building and learning that this approach offers and make it easier for other groups to schedule events without competing programs. \nWorship Service 11:00 – 11:45 am\nJanuary’s meaning making theme is  “Awakening wonder: how can mystery and wonder renew our spirits? \nExploration Groups 12:15 – 1:30 pm\nThe service will be followed by a light lunch and then Exploration Groups are open to interested folks of all ages. SUMMARY:Exploration Sunday: Communities of Care
DESCRIPTION:Exploration Sundays happen the first Sunday of each month and are meant to be an animating time for the whole congregation. The morning service launches the month’s worship and small-group theme with different explorations of that theme in programming following a light lunch. The intent is to engage everyone in the community-building and learning that this approach offers and make it easier for other groups to schedule events without competing programs. \nWorship Service 11:00 – 11:45 am\nDecember’s meaning making theme is  “Communities of care: how do we ensure that care is integrated into our ways of being together.” We will be hearing stories of care that arose in unexpected places\, and exploring how we give and receive in community. \nExploration Groups 12:15 – 1:30 pm\nThe service will be followed by a light lunch and then Exploration Groups are open to interested folks of all ages. DESCRIPTION:Skill Sharing: Fibre Arts of All Kinds\nDo you sew\, mend\, knit\, crochet\, or felt? Have you wanted to learn or expand your knowledge and confidence? Do you like sharing what you are currently creating?  Would you enjoy teaching folks of any age how to fix a hole in their favourite shirt or sew on a button? \nBack before 2020 interrupted life\, we used to have a monthly Make and Mend circle to extend and repurpose garments and fabric in our lives. This month’s dinner is an opportunity to share a skill you have around fibre arts\, learn from others\, get help fixing something and enjoy a meal together! \nWhat should I bring?\nPlease bring your curiosity\, something you want to mend\, or a project you are working on. \nFor our meal please bring something to share; a side dish\, dessert\, bread\, or drinks so that we will always have enough to fill our tummies as well as our spirits. Hosts will provide a couple large main dishes such as soup or pasta.

SUMMARY:Circle Dance: Embracing the Darkness\, Honouring the Ancestors
DESCRIPTION:In our part of the world the harvest is finished\, and we are halfway between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice. Samhain marks the beginning of winter in Gaelic Ireland and is a time to honour our ancestors.  We will mark this transition by going deep: exploring the darkness of longer nights and shorter days\, knowing that the light and new life will return. \nWe will share dances that invite reflection and honour ancestors. SUMMARY:Exploration Sunday: Learning from Ancestors
DESCRIPTION:Exploration Sundays happen the first Sunday of each month and are meant to be an animating time for the whole congregation. The morning service launches the month’s worship and small-group theme with different explorations of that theme in programming following a light lunch. The intent is to engage everyone in the community-building and learning that this approach offers\, and make it easier for other groups to schedule events without competing programs. \nWorship Service 11:00 – 11:45 am\nNovember’s meaning making theme is  “the practice of learning from our ancestors’ experiences. Many of our ancestors lived through times of great upheaval. What can they offer us right now?” \nRev Shawn will reflect on a Home for All Souls\, and as we enter a time of meditation\, we will lift up the names of those we have loved who have died.
