SUMMARY:Everybody's Birthday!
DESCRIPTION:Everybody’s Birthday is a fabulous multigenerational event that connects you with people you may not usually talk with. Volunteers bake 14 cakes and the children get to decorate them\, one for each month of the year plus extra for gluten free. \nEveryone sits together at the table of their birthday month with fun facts and activities–like guess what famous people were born the same month! \nThis will be our first Everybody’s Birthday event since 2019\, all are welcome!  *There will not be lunch served this year\, so plan accordingly–we are committed to putting on events that meet the capacity of our volunteers–not over-extending. \nVolunteers are needed to bake cakes\, supervise kids decorating\, set-up tables\, help kids serve cakes\, and clean-up! SUMMARY:Chalice Choir Spring Concert: Considering Matthew Shepard
DESCRIPTION:The Chalice Choir presents \nConsidering Matthew Shepard: A Choral Suite by Craig Hella Johnson\nPlease join the Chalice Choir to experience this important work (which we believe to be a Vancouver premiere).  Considering Matthew Shepard  was written as a 20th anniversary tribute to Matthew Shepard\, a gay college student who was murdered in Laramie\, Wyoming in 1998.  In these days of increasing intolerance\, we believe this music to be more important than ever.  The evening will conclude with choir favourites to celebrate Donna Brown’s final concert as Chalice Choir director. \n  \nSunday\, April 28 at 7:30 pm. \nSanctuary \nReception to follow. \n  \nTickets:  $20* available after service on April 14 & 21\, at the door\, or online (see below). \n\n* please note: no one will be turned away for lack of funds!)
