SUMMARY:Sunday Service: What Are You Waiting For?
DESCRIPTION:Rev. Shawn Gauthier\nThis Sunday begins the season of Advent\, a time in the calendar when Christians embark on the spiritual journey towards Christmas. These four weeks are a time for reflection and renewal\, a time of anticipation\, and a time for growth. Whatever the holidays we may personally celebrate this month\, the gifts of Advent are open to us all. Rev. Shawn’s sermon will invite us to consider the ways we seek to grow our hearts in this season.\nDownload the Order of Service\nRelated Reading\n— \nWeekly services\n\nJoin us in person in our Sanctuary or watch the service live on this page\, beginning each Sunday just before 11 am. \nYou can also catch the current service stream anytime at vanu.ca/live

SUMMARY:Listening Circle on the State of the World
DESCRIPTION:We are living in both beautiful and bewildering times\, and many of us feel the need to come together to try to make sense of it all. \nOn Wednesday\, November 6th\, at 7:00pm\, Rev. Shawn will facilitate a listening circle in the Fireside Room where we can talk about the complex feelings we’re carrying about global conflicts\, climate change\, and the state of democracy in the world. \nWhile there will be space to share what’s weighing on our hearts\, there will also be an invitation to look to where we can find hope and the seeds of resilience. All are welcome.
