DESCRIPTION:Vancouver Unitarians have a great tradition of holding intergenerational community dinners and social events. \nOn Saturday\, Feb 1st. 5pm-8:30pm you’re invited to join us for a Lunar New Year community dinner in Hewett Centre (949 W. 49th Ave on the Vancouver Unitarians campus).  Spring is around the corner but it hasn’t sprung yet in this most dreary of times–let’s encourage it onwards! \nWe cook a rice dish for all those who RSVP! DESCRIPTION:For this online event on Wednesday nights\, we start with a talk about meditation given by Victoria Oginski\, how-to\, purpose and pitfalls. \nThe second half is a shared silent meditation\, based on traditional Buddhist techniques. Victoria Oginski\, has been a dedicated meditator for over 45 years. She is a Buddhist and has studied with many extraordinary Buddhist masters over the years in Canada\, Nepal\, India\, and Tibet. \nAlthough informed by Buddhist principles\, the facilitation is more universal in approach and everyone is welcome.
