Do you like sharing what you are currently creating?  Would you enjoy teaching folks of any age how to fix a hole in their favourite shirt or sew on a button? \nBack before 2020 interrupted life\, we used to have a monthly Make and Mend circle to extend and repurpose garments and fabric in our lives. This month’s dinner is an opportunity to share a skill you have around fibre arts\, learn from others\, get help fixing something and enjoy a meal together! \nWhat should I bring?\nPlease bring your curiosity\, something you want to mend\, or a project you are working on. \nFor our meal please bring something to share; a side dish\, dessert\, bread\, or drinks so that we will always have enough to fill our tummies as well as our spirits. Hosts will provide a couple large main dishes such as soup or pasta.

SUMMARY:Meditation and Chi Gong
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday mornings\, we have two offerings in our Meditation Room. \nFirst\, there is Chi Gong from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. This practice is Chanting to clear organs and/or Chanting to clear chakras as originally taught by Dr. Steven Aung. Facilitated by Victoria Oginski. \nYou are also welcome to join us from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. for silent meditation. \nFor the past nine years\, the group has been led by Victoria Oginski\, who has been a dedicated meditator for over 45 years. She is a Buddhist and has studied with many extraordinary Buddhist masters over the years in Canada\, Nepal\, India\, and Tibet. Although informed by Buddhist principles\, the facilitation is more universal in approach and everyone is welcome. \nThere is no formal fee\, but please consider dana (donation) to VanU or the Refugee Committee.
