Facilitated by Victoria Oginski. \nYou are also welcome to join us from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. for silent meditation. \nFor the past nine years\, the group has been led by Victoria Oginski\, who has been a dedicated meditator for over 45 years. She is a Buddhist and has studied with many extraordinary Buddhist masters over the years in Canada\, Nepal\, India\, and Tibet. Although informed by Buddhist principles\, the facilitation is more universal in approach and everyone is welcome. \nThere is no formal fee\, but please consider dana (donation) to VanU or the Refugee Committee.

DESCRIPTION:The Vancouver Unitarians’ Fourth Sunday Book Group meets after the Sunday service on the fourth Sunday of each month (except July and August). Everyone is welcome. \nOn April 26\, ’26 Rhea Kikkert will be leading a discussion in the 4th Sunday Book Group on Proof of Heaven\, by Dr. Eben Alexander. This is a book that is an autobiographical description of Alexander’s Near Death Experience\, and one that aims to join science and religion. It describes his experience of the after-life\, suggests that each of us is immortal and that there are no isolating divisions amongst us on earth. We are all connected\, whatever we do or do not believe. We meet at 12:30 pm (after the Sunday service) in the family room (in the Admin building) or online at vans.ca/fourth-sunday-books. The balcony is open\, with a lovely view of the whole room\, and great acoustics too.  Seating is not reserved/general admission only. Because the music happens in two different areas through the evening\, feel free to turn or shift your chair whenever you’d like a better angle.  \nYummy Bits and Bites will be waiting on your table when you arrive\, and drinks can be bought at the bar in the entry hall. You are welcome to bring your drink to your seat but please be careful with your food and drink in our beautiful space!  \nBuy your drinks in advance\nSkip the lineup on the night and save a bit by bundling your drink with your online ticket purchase. DESCRIPTION:On Sunday mornings\, we have two offerings in our Meditation Room. \nFirst\, there is Chi Gong from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. This practice is Chanting to clear organs and/or Chanting to clear chakras as originally taught by Dr. Steven Aung. Facilitated by Victoria Oginski. \nYou are also welcome to join us from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. for silent meditation. \nFor the past nine years\, the group has been led by Victoria Oginski\, who has been a dedicated meditator for over 45 years. She is a Buddhist and has studied with many extraordinary Buddhist masters over the years in Canada\, Nepal\, India\, and Tibet. Although informed by Buddhist principles\, the facilitation is more universal in approach and everyone is welcome. \nThere is no formal fee\, but please consider dana (donation) to VanU or the Refugee Committee.
