SUMMARY:Volunteer Orientation for Summer Children's Group
DESCRIPTION:Vancouver Unitarians is largely lay-led over the summer while ministry staff have vacation and study time in preparation for the new program year.  It is important for children of all ages to feel included and cared for no matter what time of year they attend. \nThis orientation is to support those able to volunteer to be available for children on 2 or more Sundays between July 6th and August 31st. Orientation is offered on two dates: Thursday\, June 26th at 5:30 pm\, and Sunday\, June 29th at 12:45 pm. \nSign-up at vanu.ca/summer-orientation to be on the roster and attend an orientation. Please contact Kiersten with questions or for more information. \nIf you are new to volunteering with children or youth\, or have not worked in this capacity with Kiersten\, please fill out the intake form at vanu.ca/RE-volunteer-apply \n*All volunteers who work with children or youth require a police record check for the vulnerable sector current within three years.* There is no cost for volunteers.

DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to join us after service on Sunday\, May 26 for a community BBQ and celebration in our courtyard and in Hewett Hall. There’ll be delicious veggie burgers for all. \nWe’re having the BBQ this Sunday to mark the end of our Pledge season and to thank all of the generous members and friends who have chosen to invest keeping the Vancouver Unitarians moving forward as a thriving community.
