IPA - IBPOC Plus Allies
The IPA is multi-cultural group that is open to anyone at VanU. The I in IPA stands for IBPOC. IBPOC is an acronym for Indigenous, Black, People of Color. The P stands for Plus and the A stands for Allies.
We work actively and collectively to dismantle racism, by engaging wider circles in the congregation and beyond, by hosting fun events at VanU with food and opportunities for cultural connection as well as educational films.
We also lead outings to various IBPOC events in the city, some examples include tours of art galleries and museums, plays, restaurants, protest marches, and cultural celebrations. We are a welcoming, energetic, and enthusiastic group!
