DESCRIPTION:We will be meeting at 11 a.m. in the parking lot at Ron McLean Park (7820 Hedley Ave). From Boundary Road go east on Rumble some ways until south at Hedley Ave to the parking lot. \nThe trail at Byrne Creek Ravine park is all well-shaded and should take around an hour. DESCRIPTION:*The Aug. 26th walk at Deer Lake has been postponed due to the air quality advisory for Metro Vancouver this weekend.* \nThis month\, join us for a walk at Burnaby’s Deer Lake Park.  We’ll be meeting Saturday\, August 26th at 10:30a.m at the Deer Lake Park main entrance. The walk will proceed around the Deer Lake Trails for about two hours. \nOur UCV hiking group is open to all. Please email moc[at]vancouverunitarians[dot]ca if you require a ride – we’ll try to arrange carpools for anyone who needs it. \nAccessibility and location\nThe meet-up location is Deer Lake Park\, 5435 Sperling Ave\, Burnaby\, BC. \nThere are public washrooms located next to the Deer Lake Park parking lot. The trail has minimal elevation gains\, and we encourage walkers to go at their own pace.
