SUMMARY:Circle Dance: The Dream of Awakening
DESCRIPTION:Imbolc marks the halfway point between Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. It beckons us towards hope\, potential\, rebirth and promise. Caroline Mellor says in her poem Imbolc “From the darkness of the earth I give light to the flame which will forge the new world…. I am the stirring in your belly that knows what you are capable of\, and just how much your gifts are needed now.” \nWe will share dances that help to release this potential and invite healing and hope. In addition to dancing\, we are delighted that Nan will share the story of Brigid. Join our circle – all are welcome – new and experienced dancers alike. All dances will be taught.

DESCRIPTION:In our part of the world the harvest is finished\, and we are halfway between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice. Samhain marks the beginning of winter in Gaelic Ireland and is a time to honour our ancestors.  We will mark this transition by going deep: exploring the darkness of longer nights and shorter days\, knowing that the light and new life will return. \nWe will share dances that invite reflection and honour ancestors.
