Logging in and creating an account

Hello, if you’re here it’s because you want to find out about how to log into the site as a VanU member or contributor.

Registration

The first step is to create an account for this site. You’ll need to do this even if you had an account on the old vancouverunitarians.ca site.

So, now you have an account, great! You’ll receive an email to confirm and you can now log into the site. By default you’ll be at the ‘contributor’ level. This means you can access the site, but you don’t have any extra access yet.

When new users sign up, a notification goes to our office and if you’re a current VanU member, our staff will update your login so that you have the ‘member’ level of access. When this happens, you’ll receive an email notification to let you know. This can take a few days, depending on when you sign up.

If you’d like to move things along, you can get in touch with Derrick, our Membership Outreach Coordinator and he may be able to accelerate the process.

Logging in

When you come back to the site and find that you’re not logged, you can always log back in by going to the member menu item, and you’ll see the option to log in and log out in there. You’ll also see an option called account, which is where you can see aspects of your website account.
