Annual DTES Fundraising Walk for First United

The Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk supports First United’s work in the Downtown Eastside (DTES). Groups from around Vancouver gather once a year to walk and show their support for the community.
Walkers can choose between a 2 km route around Chinatown or a 5 km route stretching down the seawall. Send any questions to VanU member Tim S at tim[at]tds[dot]xyz.

On the front-lines every day, FIRST UNITED’s low-barrier essential services include shelter to 51 residents, legal advocacy, tax filing, spiritual care, mail and phone services, overdose response, provision of essential items like clothing and toiletries, and over 1,000 free meals each week to DTES community members.
