Refugee Team
The Refugee Team at Vancouver Unitarians has helped hundreds of people to escape lives of statelessness and desperation.
We are a Sponsorship Agreement Holder (SAH) that operates under rules guided by the IRCC and we work with co-sponsors to sponsor refugees under the Private Sponsorship of Refugees program.
We are always looking for donations to help us with our work. Any donation over $50 will receive a tax receipt if you provide contact information. Donations are managed by the refugee team and go toward sponsoring refugees.
If you are interested in learning more, come to visit us in Hewett Centre to talk with team members who are usually present between 10:30am and 1pm every Sunday.

Interviews were held to screen new co-sponsor candidates for our waiting list in September 2024. Our waiting list is now very long and we are not accepting new requests.
The waiting list is closed until September 2028
