Film: Myanmar – The Forgotten Revolution

The IPA and Social Justice Teams and will be co-sponsoring the screening of the film MYANMAR The Forgotten Revolution (2022) Director Katie Arnold, Journeyman Pictures. 

Myanmar may be the most violent among the 50 wars tracked globally with an estimated death toll of at least 50,000 since the 2021 military coup, including at least 8,000 civilians.  The conflict has displaced approximately 2.3 million people, according to the United Nations, yet it has received relatively muted international attention compared to the crises in Ukraine and Gaza.

This rare film gives witness to  a forgotten revolution born out of decades of brutal oppression. After viewing the film, the audience is welcome to stay for a discussion. Popcorn and snacks will be provided.
