Second Sunday Book Group

The VanU Book Group will meet on June 9 at 12:30 in Biddle and online to discuss “The Birth House” by Ami McKay. Although this is a fictional book, careful research has gone into the struggles women faced pre WWI delivering children at home. The care they received from midwives in rural Nova Scotia was threatened by the business of doctors and hospitals.
The Vancouver Unitarians’ Second Sunday Book Group meets after the Sunday service on the second Sunday of each month (except July and August). We meet at 12:30 pm in the Biddle room and online (by request – please contact rdainow[at]gmail.com if interested in attending online). Everyone is welcome.
