Breaking Bread: Family Centred Community Dinners

March 14 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Free

Gather round for Vancouver Unitarians monthly Breaking Bread potluck! It’s a time each month when we circle back, to be community together in a family-centred dinner for all ages (think of the broadest definition of family and you’ll find that you’re invited!). In a community as large as ours, it’s easy to find our connections revolving around a small group without many chances to meet newcomers; it’s just as easy for newcomers to find themselves orbiting on the periphery of the congregation, not sure how to connect with existing members. Breaking Bread is a chance to make those connections, while celebrating the cycles of our lives and the wheel of the year.

With this month’s gathering landing on Pi Day (March 14th – 3.14), we’re celebrating all things pie/pi related! Vancouver Unitarians’ Men’s Group is hosting and will provide a few main dishes, and you’re invited to please bring something to share if you are able. Maybe chicken pot pie, or hand pies, or shepherds’ pie, or apple pie, or pecan pie, or cottage pie, or shoofly pie, frito pie, or pizza pie! The possibilities of pie are truly endless!

In addition to the tasty meal, we’ll have activities exploring circular symbols in spiritual traditions, mathemagic tricks, food/math trivia, and much more!

Please RSVP below to let us know that you’re coming and how many friends you’re bringing!
