Circle Dance: The Very Merry Month of May
Come Join us for Circle Dance. All dances taught. New dancers welcome!
There are many sayings we are familiar with about May: “April showers bring May flowers” is one that comes to mind. A quote from Edwin Way Tale is: “The world’s favorite season is the spring. All things seem possible in May.”
This quote fits some of the themes we’ll explore on May 6th: nature, spring and possibilities, including the struggle for justice for workers and for peace.
May Day (May 1st) is International Workers Day). Workers started organizing globally in order to secure peace. From the outset, May 1 was a day of international mass struggle for the eight-hour work day and universal suffrage, as well as for world peace and socialism.
