Sunday Service: Reaching Across the Ages
August 11 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Casey Stainsby
People on each end of the spectrum of life, young and old, often express a desire to have more to do with each other. Why, then, do we often struggle to connect across generational gaps? So many aspects of our culture are designed to keep us apart that we find ourselves speaking different languages, having different conversations and existing in different spaces. Let’s explore together some strategies from cross-cultural bridge building that might be able to help us get closer to those on the other side of the generational divide. Because we can’t afford not to.
Casey Stainsby (she/her) is an aspirant for Unitarian Universalist ministry, studying at the Vancouver School of Theology. She has just recently stepped down from her role as Youth and Young Adult Program Manager at the Canadian Unitarian Council in order to pursue her studies a bit faster, and is looking forward to guiding the Crossing Paths program for 10-12 year olds at Vancouver Unitarians this coming year.
