Sunday Service: Sacred Breath
July 21 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Karen Bartlett
“Air. Every human life is measured from the first inhalation of air to the last breath. We will ponder some concepts of science, and what we discharge into air, then move on to concepts of spirit and practices built on sacred breath. We will breathe together as a community, and consider our individual commitments to this most unusual element in the entire universe.”
Karen Bartlett is a recently retired professor from the UBC School of Population and Public Health. She has been a Unitarian since 1989, and finds that respect for air, earth, and water is the basis of her spiritual practice.
