Youth Group

Two weeks ago we went to Louise Bunn’s studio to glaze mugs. But you can’t be an artist until you’ve encountered some kind of failure. The mug potters sold Louise the wrong fire temperature mugs. Therefore we put them in the kiln and they went squelch.

So! Teens: come to Louise’s studio again this Saturday (Nov 18th) anytime 11 am – 5 pm to glaze more mugs at the correct temperature. We’ll have fun this time too, I swear! No pressure if you can’t come–we’ll have more fundraising and art opportunities.

Here’s a reminder of what the project is for:
Our youth have been planning a fundraising campaign at the christmas market to get themselves to conferences this year. For those who aren’t aware, we are lucky to have Louise Bunn as one of our youth advisors. Louise is an artist who works with ceramics and painting, so her studio at Granville Island has a kiln.
